This Privacy Policy explains how Mabon Ledger handles personal data when you use this website, including the tax and VAT calculator. It is intended to cover the basics of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
If you use the calculator, we collect the email address you submit. We also send the calculator answers and resulting estimate with the request when we email your breakdown. Those answers and results may remain in our email or support records if they are needed to provide the result or respond to you.
We may also receive the information you choose to include when you contact us, such as your name, email address, and message. The website may create ordinary technical records needed to keep it secure and working.
Why we use it
We use your information to send the calculator result and breakdown you asked for, send helpful money tips where you have consented to receive them, answer enquiries, keep the website secure, and manage our records.
Our lawful basis is your consent when you submit your email to receive the result and helpful money tips. We may also rely on our legitimate interests to operate and improve the website, respond to enquiries, and prevent misuse, and on a legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
Who may receive it
We may share personal data with service providers who help us host the website, operate its forms, deliver emails, or keep it secure. For the calculator, this includes the email delivery service used to send messages from the site. Providers may process information only as needed to provide those services.
